My Neighbours Pussycat

Ok Folks, now don't get me wrong here but this pussycat (female cat, pussy or ball of furr) is a very famous pussycat. My neighbours are the proud owner of this pretty furry fluffy Feline. The story behind this picture; only once we were able to capture her in a peacefull pose. Rafael Chan has posted his version on the 9 th of november 2007. Cool cat

In order for me to get a moneyshot (a different angle, different pose, different everyhting) after many many many tries without succes, I just called the owner and asked her to pick her up and together we prayed that she would stay still. Cause she's the tiny real deal version of the Tasmanian Devil.  Viola! Those magical 1,8 seconds of piece gave me just enough time to pull it off.
One of  the reasons, besides the fact that I just love the fine details,  I decided to post this picture also because of something I rarely see. At first I thought it was because of the B&W conversion but it looks like this is the way she was born.

I will be happy to hear if you guys can see what I see....Have a nice weekend!

ps. Glad to be back!

If you didn't see the rest of her face, Fausto, I would have thought this was a raccoon! smile
Fausto Fraser: Bingo! Thank you so much! Don't ask me why but I can't stop laughing..smile

I love your neighbours pussy, I could not have missed this one, great picture, have a nice weekend!!
Fausto Fraser: Thank you Astrid! Hope you had a nice weekend too smile
love his whiskers
Fausto Fraser: Thanks for the visit! Can you see the broken whisker?
Welcome again, Fausto. I believe to see in the eyes of the cat the reflection of the photographer! Perhaps or... it is an optical illusion?
Fausto Fraser: Thank you Jose. You wont believe it but I didn't check before if I was visible as an reflection smile But..no....no optical illusion. Just read the comment posted by Ginnie and you will surely know what that fine detail is! Nice seeing you again!

really like the expression caught and the way the light plays across its face in graduating tones...
Fausto Fraser: Thanks Sam! It was a hell of a job but worth it...

This is a fantastic portrait ..
Fausto Fraser: Thanks for the compliment and visit Shakara!
Fine details I see - the fur on the nose (perhaps the lighting) and the black ring around her left eye.
Fausto Fraser: Very good Kunie, I guess you are the second one who noticed the black ring. Besides the sharp details that ring was the main reason for me to try to make a close up shot. Thanks for the comment and visit!
Very curious cat grin
Fausto Fraser: Curiosity almost killed this cat, but I must be honest...my Rottie almost bit the dust! Thanks for the comment Subster!
Very nice and successful close up Fausto, the B&W is a really clever choice : Bravo !!
Fausto Fraser: Thanks for the comment and visit Zeb! It was a success indeed! Lots a scratches and sweat...smile

Love the kitty. I tried to make a (good) picture of a cat once, so i know how hard it is (my shot was never any good lol). Nice job.
Fausto Fraser: Thank you Consuela, right now I'm building a relationship with the lady..she has kittens and my front yard is their playground so I am waiting for the right moment to capture them together.
Great work Faustus!!! Great Work
Fausto Fraser: Thanks bro!

Good shot, Fausto! Love the B&W conversion too and the focus on her eyes:p
Fausto Fraser: Thanks Kavita! I will post more of her in the future. Every morning she sits on a couch on my yard. We are getting very close these days....so taking snapshots will be much easier. smile
