Warm Communication

While sitting behind my PC I noticed the sunrays of the setting sun shining in my room.....everything turned yellow. My eyes went through the room to see if I could catch an interesting part to photograph. The sunrays appeared on my home phone, right about now an important part of my only real contact with the person I truly like...
5 shots were enough and now the choice had to be made which one of them would  be shutterchance material……..

And that was the hard part…. I made a Black n White conversion…beautiful…made me think of all the perfect B&W conversions on SC.

The original version shows how yellow my room can get. Plus…it made a good friend think of a Quentin Tarrantino flick (and I agree). I even tried a collage of both but that didn’t work for me. I had to make up my mind….finally I choose the original version.

I shot this with a 50 mm 1,8 lens and experimented (finally/again) with the exposure lock on the Canon Rebel. Don’t know if I did a great job but somehow this picture made my sunny afternoon…. Symbolic to warmth, connection with my sweetie pie and the greed to take pictures of all the strange and attractive things around me.

Enjoy!

You have succeeded. It is a very warm shot with a nice narrative too. :o)
Fausto Fraser: Thanks for the compliment John! My next post has something to do with the sun too.

Looks like you picked the right one - always good to experiment, but hard to choose ;o)
Fausto Fraser: I've been experimenting more and as soon as I think I'm there..especially with the B&W conversions...you are one of the first ones I'll notice about it..smile

I love your sweetie-pie story, Fausto, and how you find yourself seeing things through her eyes...as well as your own eyes. smile
Fausto Fraser: Thank you Ginnie, luckily she is a very artistic person too. She likes music like I do and when the moment is right she also will be participating in my world of photography.
ps: She takes nice pictures too..smile
Very well done my friend, very well done, as I told you when I saw this for the first time this gives an amazing feeling and a very good stock photo. And about experimenting, that is the way my friend, only experimentation can lead to innovation, can lead to greatness.
Fausto Fraser: Thank you Master. Thanks to you and Master Chan! This light game is fun man. Experimenting too...
